Mohonri Moriancumer Decker 

Mohonri Moriancumer Decker was a true pioneer, born on August 7, 1868 in Parowan, Iron, Utah. His father, Zachariah Bryun  Decker served with the Mormon Battalion and Nancy Bean came across the plains. She married first John D Lee and then after a divorce she married Zachariah. They had several children and their last child was Mohonri.  He married first, Rachel Ann Munford and they had seven children. After her death he married Harriet Norris.  They had 6 children. 

Mohonri loved horses. He was a great singer and hard working man.

Our Cedar City DUP Museum is home to several fascinating artifacts from the early period of Iron County. Such as a tea cup that is over 400 years old, brought west by Lizzie Corry.   Tools, books, pottery, clothing from the pioneer era, furniture, and histories and photos.   Come visit we would love to share our heritage.

Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Saturday 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Winter hours Starting Labor Day 

Tuesday – Friday 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Saturday 10:00 pm – 1:00 pm
